Exact date of birth of the philosopher was set by researchers at the beginning of the ХХ century and only at the end of it poor archived materials about Cossack genealogy of Grygoriy Skovoroda were found. In the inspection book of the Lubenska chancellery (Poltavshchyna) under № 49 the homestead of Pelageya Ckovorodykha is registered, it is also mentioned there that her son “is becoming a singer”, and in the register book there is a record about his father. He was a having insufficient land Cossack and sold home-made wine with pleasure.
